What does NGO “Velyka Simia” do?
We work for the safety of children and Ukrainian families. Our main areas are mine-risk and first aid education, creating safe spaces in communities, supporting families from affected regions, veterans and their families, and developing local and national safety programmes.
Which regions do you work in?
Across Ukraine, with priority given to war-affected regions. Most of our work has been in the Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Kherson and Khmelnytskyi regions. We are ready to come to your community on request.
How can we invite you to run a training in our school or community?
Write to us via the contact form or by email. Please mention your community, the approximate number of participants and the topic you need — we will get back to you to agree the details.
Are your trainings paid?
For communities and schools our sessions are usually free — they are run within projects and supported by donors. The terms of each specific event are always stated in its announcement.
How can I become a volunteer?
Write to us with a short introduction and what you would like to help with. We need trainers, psychologists, drivers, communication specialists and people ready to help hands-on during humanitarian trips.
How can I support the organisation financially?
Details for charitable contributions are published on the Contacts page. Funds go towards learning materials, fuel for humanitarian trips and training equipment.
Can I become a member of the organisation?
Yes. The admission procedure, rights and obligations of members are described in the Statute. To get started, write to us and we will explain the next steps.
Where can I see the organisation’s reporting?
Statutory documents are available in the Documents section. Financial reports will be published there as reporting periods are completed.
