Privacy policy

How we collect, use and protect your personal data.

Last updated: 4 August 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data NGO “Big Family” (Association of Large Families) (the “Organisation”, “we”) collects through the website http://localhost:3000, why we use it and how we protect it.

1. Data controller

The data controller is NGO “Big Family” (Association of Large Families). For any questions about the processing of your data, write to bigfamily.ukr@gmail.com.

2. What data we collect

  • Data you provide. When you fill in the contact form, we receive the name, email address, optional phone number and the message you enter.
  • Technical data. When you visit the site, anonymised technical information is collected automatically: device and browser type, approximate country-level location, and the pages you viewed.

We do not collect payment data through the website: donations are made directly via bank details, and we never gain access to your card data.

3. Why we process data

  • to respond to your message or request;
  • to arrange your participation in an event you registered for;
  • to improve the operation and content of the website;
  • to comply with the requirements of Ukrainian law.

The legal basis is your consent, given when you submit the form, together with the legitimate interests of the Organisation in carrying out its statutory activities.

4. Who we share data with

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for commercial purposes. Data may only be shared with:

  • technical service providers (hosting, email) acting on our instructions and bound by confidentiality;
  • state authorities — only in cases directly provided for by law.

5. How long we keep data

Contact form messages are stored no longer than needed to reply and continue the communication — as a rule, up to three years. After that the data is deleted or anonymised.

6. Cookies

The website uses only strictly necessary cookies that keep it working correctly (for example, remembering your language choice). You can block cookies in your browser settings — some features may then work in a limited way.

7. Your rights

Under the Law of Ukraine “On Personal Data Protection” you have the right to:

  • know what data of yours we process and receive a copy of it;
  • request correction of inaccurate data;
  • request deletion of your data or restriction of its processing;
  • withdraw consent given earlier;
  • lodge a complaint with the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights.

To exercise any of these rights, write to bigfamily.ukr@gmail.com. We will reply within 30 calendar days.

8. Data security

The website runs over a secure HTTPS connection. Only authorised staff of the Organisation have access to submitted messages. We make regular backups and use technical measures against spam and unauthorised access.

9. Children

The website is not intended for independent use by children under 14 and does not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us with their data, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy. The current version is always available on this page, with the date of the last update.
